I've always adored Nathalie Du Pasquier's print designs since I was first introduced to the Memphis movement of the 80's, of which she was a founding designer. The simple, bold and slightly odd geometric combinations, perfect colour schemes and timeless nature of the prints (well, for me anyway) just win in every way. I would even go so far as to say she's my favourite print designer. Here's a selection of my favourite patterns.

The eyewear of fresh New York label Illesteva is really something else. Inspired by 1950's Havana, the era's entertainment capital, these awesome shades are handmade in Germany and Italy with the highest quality materials and style in mind. A blurb about their current collection:

Illesteva's collection pays homage to the characters that rules Havana at its prime. The look book was shot by David Cabrera on famed Calle Ocho Boulevard in Miami's historic "Little Havana" district, guest starring some of the worlds best domino players.

And I've got to say, I think this is my favourite fashion shoot of all time. Not to mention how covetable the styles are.

I've never been to the US, and if/when I do eventually go I'm not sure Florida would be the first destination on my list. That was before I saw the photos two of my good friends took of the wonderful, sugary art deco buildings at Miami Beach. I'm smitten! I love art deco architecture, and in these ice-cream colours and beachside surrounds...well, it's kind of making me wish it was summer right now. And I was living in one of these gorgeous buildings.

I don't think there has or will be a time in history when this isn't song isn't relevant. That's the power of performance my friends!
