Panayiotis Terzis
The wonderful collage and drawing work of Panayiotis Terzis caught my eye a couple of weeks ago when I picked up a booklet of his art at the MCA Zine Fair, entitled "Bluetooth". I instantly loved the use of inverted contrast, frottage-esque textures and simply the fact that he works in greyscale. And the themes are fascinating...trippy and dreamlike. I feel strangely connected to the giant spiders, probably because I spend most summers chasing those bastards out of my bedroom. The mirrored castle image is beautiful too, and may just be the perfect thing to fill up some irritating blank wall space I have. That's if you have some spare prints lying around Panayiotis?
